Welcome to Sora2! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Sora2 AI video generation platform, website (sora2.com), and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using Sora2, you agree to:

  • Be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the European Economic Area)
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement

If you are using Sora2 on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of Services

Sora2 is an AI-powered video generation platform that provides:

  • Text-to-Video Generation: Create videos from text prompts using advanced AI technology
  • Image-to-Video Conversion: Transform static images into dynamic videos
  • Video Editing and Customization: Edit and customize generated videos
  • Cloud Storage: Store and manage your generated videos
  • Credit System: Pay-as-you-go credits and subscription plans
  • Account Management: User dashboard, preferences, and settings

Our Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

3. User Accounts

Account Creation

To use Sora2, you must create an account by providing:

  • Valid email address
  • Secure password
  • Accurate and complete registration information

You may also sign up using Google OAuth authentication.

Account Security

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach
  • Ensuring your contact information is current and accurate

We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain account security.

Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@sora2.com. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.

4. Subscription Plans and Credits

Free Plan

  • Limited credits provided upon registration
  • Access to basic features
  • Standard video generation capabilities

We offer several subscription tiers:

  • Plus Plan: Enhanced credits and features
  • Pro Plan: Advanced capabilities and higher credit limits
  • Enterprise Plan: Maximum credits and priority support

Credit System

  • Credits are consumed when generating videos
  • Credits expire based on your plan (typically 30 days)
  • Unused credits do not roll over unless specified in your plan
  • Credits are non-refundable and non-transferable
  • Credit packages can be purchased separately

Billing and Payments

  • All payments are processed securely through Stripe
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
  • Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice
  • You are responsible for all applicable taxes
  • Refunds are provided only in accordance with our refund policy (Section 9)

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Sora2 only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

Prohibited Content

  • Generate videos containing illegal, harmful, or offensive content
  • Create deepfakes or misleading content intended to deceive
  • Produce content that infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Generate violent, hateful, or discriminatory content
  • Create sexually explicit or adult content involving minors
  • Produce spam, malware, or phishing content

Prohibited Activities

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our AI models
  • Use automated tools to abuse our API or Services
  • Scrape, harvest, or collect data from our platform without permission
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Interfere with or disrupt our Services or servers
  • Circumvent usage limits, restrictions, or security measures
  • Resell or redistribute our Services without authorization
  • Use our Services to compete with or harm Sora2

Commercial Use

Commercial use of generated videos is permitted under paid plans, subject to these Terms and applicable laws. You must ensure you have all necessary rights for any content you upload.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

Your Content

You retain all ownership rights to:

  • Text prompts you provide
  • Images you upload
  • Videos you generate using our Services

License to Sora2

By uploading content or generating videos, you grant Sora2:

  • A worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and process your content
  • The right to use your content to provide, improve, and train our Services
  • The right to use anonymized and aggregated data for analytics and research

This license terminates when you delete your content, except for:

  • Cached copies that may persist temporarily
  • Content shared with third parties before deletion
  • Anonymized and aggregated data used for analytics

Sora2's Intellectual Property

Our platform, including but not limited to:

  • Software, code, and algorithms
  • AI models and technology
  • User interface and design
  • Trademarks, logos, and branding
  • Documentation and content

...are owned by Sora2 and protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, and other intellectual property laws. You may not use our intellectual property without explicit written permission.

7. Content Moderation

We reserve the right to:

  • Review, monitor, and moderate generated content
  • Remove content that violates these Terms
  • Suspend accounts that repeatedly violate our policies
  • Use automated systems and human review for content moderation
  • Report illegal content to authorities when required by law

We are not obligated to pre-screen content but may do so at our discretion.

8. Third-Party Services

Our Services integrate with third-party providers:

  • Stripe: Payment processing
  • AWS S3: Cloud storage for videos
  • Google OAuth: Authentication services
  • Resend: Email communications

Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their practices.

9. Refund Policy

Subscription Refunds

  • Refunds for subscriptions are provided within 7 days of initial purchase if no credits have been used
  • No refunds for partial subscription periods
  • Cancellation prevents future charges but does not refund the current billing period

Credit Refunds

  • Credits are non-refundable once purchased
  • Exceptions may be made for technical errors or billing mistakes at our sole discretion

How to Request a Refund

Contact support@sora2.com with your order details and reason for refund. Refund requests are typically processed within 5-10 business days.

10. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

Service Availability

We do not guarantee that our Services will:

  • Be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • Meet your specific requirements or expectations
  • Produce videos of any particular quality or accuracy
  • Be available at all times or in all locations
  • Be compatible with all devices or browsers

AI-Generated Content

  • AI-generated videos may contain errors, inaccuracies, or unexpected results
  • We do not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or suitability of generated content
  • You are responsible for reviewing and verifying generated content before use
  • We are not liable for how you use generated content

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to Sora2 in the 12 months preceding the claim
  • We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized access, data loss, service interruptions, or third-party actions

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability, so these limitations may not apply to you.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sora2, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of our Services
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Content you upload or generate
  • Your breach of applicable laws or regulations

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:

  • Posting updated Terms on this page with a new "Last updated" date
  • Sending email notification to your registered email address
  • Displaying a prominent notice on our platform

Continued use of Sora2 after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree with changes, you must stop using our Services and may delete your account.

13. Termination

Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by:

  • Deleting your account through your dashboard
  • Contacting support@sora2.com to request account deletion

Upon termination:

  • Your access to paid features will cease
  • Unused credits will be forfeited
  • Your generated content may be deleted after 90 days

Termination by Sora2

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
  • Abuse our Services or other users
  • Fail to pay subscription fees

We may also terminate accounts inactive for more than 2 years with 30 days' notice.

Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

  • All licenses granted to you immediately terminate
  • You must cease all use of our Services
  • You remain liable for any outstanding payments
  • Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g., indemnification, limitations of liability) will continue to apply

14. Dispute Resolution

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Arbitration Agreement

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Sora2 shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except:

  • Claims in small claims court
  • Intellectual property disputes
  • Requests for injunctive relief

Arbitration shall be conducted by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. You waive your right to a jury trial and class action lawsuits.

Exceptions

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights that cannot be waived or limited by contract.

15. General Provisions

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sora2.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.

Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account without our written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.

Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, war, terrorism, government actions).

Export Compliance

You agree to comply with all applicable export and import laws and regulations in your use of our Services.

By using Sora2, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
